    Consider: איש and אשה. The word איש is אש + י. The word אשה is אש + ה. If you take י + ה, that is a name of God. If a couple is meritorious, the Divine Presence dwells among them. Otherwise, fire dwells among them.

    That's from the Gemara somewhere.
